In out new house we found this old bench from a school. I just knew I had to keep it and I decided it got to be toystorage for my little boys. I love the way it looks all old and used. It gives the room a retro feel.
Not only is it cute it is reused. Love recykled items. Not sure if I should give it a bit of a makeover or leave it as it is.
What do you think?
After two long days of moving we finally get to sit down and rest a little. We lit a fire and just enjoy a little down time in the mess that is out new home and I have decided that I will never, ever move again. I say like Bruce Willis – I am to old for this 💩.
Weeks of organizing and months of repainting and work lies a head but for now, I am glad if I make it thru the coming week alive.
Now I am going to grill marshmellows with the kids and Then put us all to bed.
I am the boxer… I am boxing everything in sight. Luckily my kids have managed to stay out of being boxed in but we´ll se about that. The house is a freaking mess and it is really getting on my nerves. But trying to see things on the bright side, I don´t have to clean this house after the move. A cleaning company is doing that for us. Thank you very much!
All the boxes upstairs are color coded so that we know what goes where but all the boxes in the downstairs room is not color coordinated yet so that is my job today after I finish up my schoolwork for today.
Can you belive there is a window back there? This room is filled to the brink soon and so is my patiens. I am so glad the new house have so much storage room we can put all boxes in there so we don’t have to have boxes all over the place while unpacking.
Since we are finally on the last week in the old house I felt it ok to bag all my clothing on hangers. Why waste boxes on things you can move from one rack to another?
Hm… I see a disturbing lack of pink in my wardrobe. I´ll have to fix that when spring comes.
Ok so we are officially on our last week in the old house (townhouse) and in a week we should be spending our first night in the new house!
I am so excited and equally stressed to get it all done, since I also have an exam due of friday next week.
The new house is in great condition and all we have to do is to put our own touch to it to make it feel like home. Can´t wait, but I have to because life is so busy and I have 10 weeks of internship coming up the first week after moving and the same week my daughter has 4 shows of Moana to perform. Ah! So many things to do!
But, decorating the house will have to take the backseat for a while and that is ok. All in good time. Patiens in my strongest feature… not!
Good morning lovelies! Monays are one of my favourite days. Why? Routines maybe. However there is a serious lack of routines when you are less than 2 weeks from moving houses. The house is a mess and it drives me crazy.
Went to Lidl to pick up some boxes to pack in since we are using a lot more boxes than we planned. Shocker right?! 😛
I also pack everything in the way I want them to be in the new house i.e not just shoving things in to boxes, but planning what goes in what box and what room the box is going in. I color code all the boxes so that come movingday, it is going to be easier knowing what goes where and what is in the boxes.
That also includes not packing any clothes or seasonal clothing that is dirty. So I am currently washing the kids rainsets so I can pack them as I am trying to get some studying done too. Busy bee here!
And I finally got myself a new hat. My darling daughter borrowed the one I decided to buy after years of trying to justify the price. And now it is nowhere to be found. Unless it shows up while moving, I guess I am not the only one who wanted that beanie… It really ticks me off when the childrens clothes get stolen in school. It would not be the first time. Last year my sons winter jacket got stolen and I got furious! How can a parent not notice if their kids come home with a “new” jacket or any kind of clothing labeled with another childs name and phonenumber? And if they do notice, why will they keep it and not bring it back? Any good answers to that?
My daughter and her friends got in the habit of borroing eachothers shoes and jackets after school and I quickly put an end to that since it is a conflict bound to happend. So did I notice her “new” shoes? Yes! Did we return them and got hers back? Heck yes… ok, getting sidetracked here… I really like my new one. Lets hope I get to keep it.
Behold the mess… And yes… the tree is still up.
Never move dirty clothes. The last thing you want is to start of washing everything in your new house.
Feels like forever ago I blogged and so much has been going on since my last blog I decided to get a brand new blog. New life – new blog. Makes sense? All right!
I am so glad you are here and I am so happy to finally have the energy (and time… nah, who am I kidding? I don´t have time for blogging but it is fun) to start blogging again. I do love blogging and I decided to take up one thing I used to do and love before and start doing it again during 2018. Maybe running would have been the smarter choice but really..? It is winter in Scandinavia and the only people out running here are either crazy or getting chased by polar bears. Just saying…
So what have I been up to the past 3 years of not blogging? Let´s keep it short and sweet…
I was a single mom for a while and then remarried, moved to a different part of Sweden and I am graduating college in May after 2 years of student mom life.
And, we (the kids and my hubby) have sold our townhouse and bought a bigger home close by and we are moving within a month. I am so exited and there are a lot of good things going on so I can not wait to share it all with you in the future!
Gotta love living in boxes and still having the christmas tree up. I do love Christmas but not even I keep the tree up for this long normally…
Can´t wait to get in to my new house so I can start organizing, decorating and you know, all the fun stuff with moving houses. But right now, I just wanna take all the stuff that is left to pack and burn it on a stake cuz this is just the worst part… Why do we have so much stuff anyway?
Thanks for stopping by and I will see if I can find my old blog so that I can link to it somewhere if you want to go back in time and read.
